Ukraine Day at WUT

Warsaw University of Technology is organising Ukraine Day. This is the event within the framework of the ENHANCE Task Force Ukraine - one of the initiatives of the ENHANCE Alliance of the European Universities. WUT is the member of the ENHANCE and the leader of these activities in the Alliance.

Ukraine Day is organised in cooperation with the Universitat Politècnica de València with the participation of the Technical Universities from Kyiv and Lviv.  

The event will be held in a hybrid form - online and on the premises of Warsaw University of Technology in the building at 4 Rektorska Street and Universitat Politècnica de València. It will be conducted in English.

Programme:

9:00 - 9:30 - Welcome address by the authorities of the universities
9:30 - 10:00 - The concert of Werchowyna – the folk group
10:00 - 10:15 - How much do you know about Ukraine? – a quiz
10:20 - 10:40 - A short movie about Ukraine with interactive activities
10:40 - 11:10 - Modern Ukraine through young eyes – students’ insights
11:10 - 11:25 - Students’ and teachers’ perspectives of studying in Ukraine – technical universities in Kyiv and Lviv
11:25 - 11:45 - Coffee break
11:45 - 12:15 - Workshop – culture and customs in different countries
12:20 - 12:50 - Workshop – People, Prosperity, Peace – Rebuilding
Ukraine after the war – students’ contributions
12:50 - 13:20 - Workshop – Ukrainian music, traditions, cuisine, language
13:20 - 13:45 - Ukraine knowledge quiz with prizes
13:45 - 14:00 - Closing
14.00 - The tastes of Ukraine – tasting Ukrainian dishes onsite at WUT and UPV

ENHANCE Task Force Ukraine is engaged in designing and implementing activities to support the Ukrainian community.  All members of the ENHANCE Alliance and the Ukrainian partner universities of Kyiv Polytechnic University and Lviv Polytechnic University are involved in the activities of ENHANCE Task Force Ukraine. Among other things,  the projects related to modern education will be created and implemented.

The coordinators of Ukraine Day are Katarzyna Zambrzycka-Papuda,PhD from the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences of the Warsaw University of Technology, the ENHANCE Task Force Ukraine Leader, and Dorota Chrominska, MA, Foreign Language Centre of WUT  Proxy for cooperation with ENHANCE and Centre for International Cooperation and the ENHANCE language tandems coordinator.
